Chairs as you’ve never seen them before: in A Chair and You, these everyday objects become the stars of an immersive performance. A Chair and You revolves around one of the world’s most important private collections of chairs, brought together by collector Thierry Barbier-Mueller. From this collection, American director, scenographer and artist Robert Wilson (1941–2025) selected more than 150 chairs by 124 designers. Through a stimulating scenography, Wilson gives chairs a meaningful, almost theatrical power with A Chair and You. Let yourself be carried away by a space inspired by Jackson Pollock, a mysterious dark space, an environment that radiates peace and order, and a sparkling mirrored cube.

You are very welcome to stay a little longer after the programme. Coffee and tea will be served in the Auditorium afterwards. All exhibitions in the Kunsthal are open until 17:00
