See you later, Illustrator!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

This special edition will be all about the exhibition A Chair and You. Poet Wessel starts with a story inspired by the exhibition, and illustrator Yara draws it out in real time. While the poet tells the story and the illustrator draws, you get to come up with all kinds of things to add to the story. The funniest, craziest, most beautiful, strangest or scariest ideas: anything goes! And of course, you will get to do some drawing yourself too.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Young artists in the making, aged around 6–12 (and their parents, grandparents or babysitters).

WHEN?

Wednesday 21 october 2026, 14.30 - 15.30 hrs.

COST

Admission to the event at the Kunsthal costs €5.00 per child. This includes the See you later drawing booklet, access to all exhibitions, and the chance to show your drawing to Yara and Wessel. You will also take home Yara's visual story as a colouring page. One parent or carer per child gets in free.

Photography

During See you later, Illustrator! photos will be taken. By taking part in the event you agree to the use of these images by Kunsthal Rotterdam.
